West Kidlington Primary School's 50th Anniversary
To mark the school's 50th anniversary the children let off eco-friendly golden balloons and enjoyed an indoor ice-rink.

Circus
The National Festival Circus came to West Kidlington Primary School in May 2006. Excitement was building all day as a big top was erected on the school field and clowns appeared at the entrance. The three performances were almost sold out, and we were treated to displays of juggling, plate spinning, clowning around and feats of daring. There was lots of audience participation, and much fun was had by all. The day raised £650.

Curry and Quiz Night
A hilarious evening was had by all those who attended this event, which included ten quiz rounds and a delicious curry.

Auction of Promises
From chocolate brownies to holidays in Spain, there was much on offer at this auction, with the Promises being generously supplied by friends and acquaintances of school. With the skilled auctioneering of Mr. Symonds, the evening raised a tremendous £1650, even though many starting bets began at £1 or less.

50p Anniversary Trail
On 13th June 2006, we participated in a nationwide event organised by the National Confederation of Parent Teacher Associations, which is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year. We asked the children to bring in 50 pence pieces and we laid these out in a trail, making a giant 50p. Our trail was 10.5m long, and raised £196.50 for PTA funds. The NCPTA is collecting a record of the length of each trail made across the country.
